In our recent trip to India, my mother in law made these awesome healthy laddus. I immediately bookmarked the recipe in my mind. And ofcourse after coming back I made these 2 weeks back. My baby loved them. Here is the recipe<br />
<br />
INGREDIENTS<br />
<br />
1 cup Sesame seeds ( Black or white, I used white )<br />
<br />
1/2 cup grated Coconut<br />
<br />
1 cup Jaggery<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAwXk1Wp1t1lJVq3VJwiuBZmGUr0q8BXiKtP7ZdePnZHKKerCVaKKK90SSR5kRvCSo9A4kDL21lbGw60XeZxeBcaIWeThC7tm51TuhSDgFKBywQILXC7B_DxSNmKIE42c5DZVNDqjV9wY/s1600/IMG_8779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAwXk1Wp1t1lJVq3VJwiuBZmGUr0q8BXiKtP7ZdePnZHKKerCVaKKK90SSR5kRvCSo9A4kDL21lbGw60XeZxeBcaIWeThC7tm51TuhSDgFKBywQILXC7B_DxSNmKIE42c5DZVNDqjV9wY/s400/IMG_8779.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
PROCEDURE<br />
<br />
1. Take a pan and roast sesame seeds on low flame for 5 minutes. Keep them aside and let them cool down completely.<br />
<br />
2. Grind all the ingredients together into a fine powder. <br />
<br />
3. Use your hand to make a lemon sized laddus out of the sesame coconut mixture. Oil which is oozed out of the sesame seeds is sufficient to make the laddus. <br />
<br />

If you wanna prepare ragi mudda for tommorows breakfast or lunch, you need to soak the rice tonight.Here goes the recipe..</div>

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<strong>1. </strong>Fry the rice for 2 minutes. Let it cool down then grind it into a coarse powder(like ravva). Soak the powder in 2 cups of water for overnight.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
2. Bring the remaining water to boil in a thick bottomed vessel, then add the soaked rice powder along with the water in which it is soaked in. Stir continously on a medium heat to avoid lumps. Once it starts boiling reduce the heat to low. Cook until the rice is soft. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
3. Then add the ragi flour and just leave it on top of the cooked rice without mixing it for 5 minutes. This step helps to avoid ragi flour lumps in your ragi mudda.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
4. Now add salt and stir the whole mixture with a wooden stick until well combined.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
5. Serve hot with ghee on top of it.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">

After some brousing on the internet for baby food recipes, I decided to make fresh fruit and vegetable purees. And the whole process of preparing her food like picking up fresh organic fruits and vegetables, cooking them and feeding my baby...it makes me happy. And my baby loves her food too..:)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAVjyYVPkc-oSCb6DV9SQP7u4oYiSslyhcbFXaofUG82ln0UyYUrJUPhID-21-8m_nqqkiT5R60alXtQ-CgkuWFcCKyfxFpPkxHfeIgBqilYt5SWpscAWNJ-SzkmfOilX6U1ccwT7bImX8/s1600/spacer.gif" style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 1px; height: 1px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAVjyYVPkc-oSCb6DV9SQP7u4oYiSslyhcbFXaofUG82ln0UyYUrJUPhID-21-8m_nqqkiT5R60alXtQ-CgkuWFcCKyfxFpPkxHfeIgBqilYt5SWpscAWNJ-SzkmfOilX6U1ccwT7bImX8/s400/spacer.gif" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5768954616892449010" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAVjyYVPkc-oSCb6DV9SQP7u4oYiSslyhcbFXaofUG82ln0UyYUrJUPhID-21-8m_nqqkiT5R60alXtQ-CgkuWFcCKyfxFpPkxHfeIgBqilYt5SWpscAWNJ-SzkmfOilX6U1ccwT7bImX8/s1600/spacer.gif" style="font-size: medium; font-weight: bold; ">Pears</a><div style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1zuIgWLORjzKQzNqfuCWqof-2PkDguBOpPdJpeXU0537L2coH5ZX520W0bKz0YBqOPUP5wJpeVtm4NRsxRCWK8auN7tqhdlpj99BIR4To7-zctz6o7e4x9t5vvN5NAhT36tA4tiDKY8G5/s1600/IMG_6943.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1zuIgWLORjzKQzNqfuCWqof-2PkDguBOpPdJpeXU0537L2coH5ZX520W0bKz0YBqOPUP5wJpeVtm4NRsxRCWK8auN7tqhdlpj99BIR4To7-zctz6o7e4x9t5vvN5NAhT36tA4tiDKY8G5/s400/IMG_6943.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5768952614712478946" /></a><br /><br />Pears is rich in fiber. I chose brown rice in making the cereal because it is a whole grain and is more nutrious than white rice. It is also rich in fiber.<br /><br /><blockquote><span style="font-style:italic;">The difference between brown rice and white rice is not just color! A whole grain of rice has several layers. Only the outermost layer, the hull, is removed to produce what we call brown rice. This process is the least damaging to the nutritional value of the rice and avoids the unnecessary loss of nutrients that occurs with further processing. If brown rice is further milled to remove the bran and most of the germ layer, the result is a whiter rice, but also a rice that has lost many more nutrients. At this point, however, the rice is still unpolished, and it takes polishing to produce the white rice we are used to seeing. Polishing removes the aleurone layer of the grain--a layer filled with health-supportive, essential fats. Because these fats, once exposed to air by the refining process, are highly susceptible to oxidation, this layer is removed to extend the shelf life of the product. The resulting white rice is simply a refined starch that is largely bereft of its original nutrients</span>.<span style=" color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 24px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;font-size:100%;"><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Nourishing-Traditions-Challenges-Politically-Dictocrats/dp/0967089735/ref=la_B000APH4JA_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343263434&sr=1-1">Sally Fallon</a>, Pg 25</span><span style=" ;font-size:100%;"></span></blockquote><br /><br />You can find more information on brown rice <a href="http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=128">here</a> <a href="http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=128"></a><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Nutrients in Brown Rice (one cup, cooked)</span><br /><br />Protein - 5.03g<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">VITAMINS</span><br /><br />Vitamin B1 (thiamine) - .18 mg<br />Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) - .04 mg<br />Niacin - 2.9 mg<br />Folate - 8 mcg<br /><br />Contains some other vitamins in small amounts.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">MINERALS</span><br /><br />Potassium - 84 mg<br />Phosphorus - 162 mg<br />Magnesium - 84 mg<br />Calcium - 20 mg<br />Sodium - 10 mg<br />Iron - .8 mg<br /><br />Also contains small amounts of manganese, copper and zinc.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">PREPARATION:</span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">How to make rice flour:</span><br /><br />1. She contributed her Kalakand recipes to this blog. It looks yummy!! We used to spend our summer holidays together in our grand parents house. Our grandma bought us few earthernware utensils for us to play with. I remember preparing sweet pongal in those clay pots and forcing everyone to taste it...:) Those were also the days I started learning to use sewing machine. Shilpi used to gather all the sarees(even new sarees) from our auntsand our mom's, I used to sew the ends of the sarees for my practice. And then Shilpi packs each saree in a newspaper and distribute them to their owners. We used to collect 2 rs for our work...hahaha. I cant stop laughing now by remembering all those fun days. Atlast our elders banned us from touching their sarees.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">INGREDIENTS</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2Uq-BOj80lJzkM7_KVe_5tOjDq6poauoqAhSY77aSlJHaK7afrBYhGxvwAohNw2k43PRdFWZUozquvCtFi9dLE_e1uXPZOoX7aUEUu9Idlxk-67jnpqMUrKELH6yTc-H9fK2S1nceG2Y-/s1600/Ingridient3-RicottaCheese.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 397px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2Uq-BOj80lJzkM7_KVe_5tOjDq6poauoqAhSY77aSlJHaK7afrBYhGxvwAohNw2k43PRdFWZUozquvCtFi9dLE_e1uXPZOoX7aUEUu9Idlxk-67jnpqMUrKELH6yTc-H9fK2S1nceG2Y-/s400/Ingridient3-RicottaCheese.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725777833550743410" /></a><br />Ricotta Cheese -150z<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEXfxN-x7sQV5gdiT7quMWhcSm7SJMhcKDyqgG9V7BNwFHoUkK8_4OrhnqMGVi5R1rIke3QaP67k9doMrDaDKnwGzRRh5a6YBtGcBwNVm6Ty1tcOYV09iY8fIIXN49Ubg5IkdY4jWuAr4g/s1600/Ingridient2-SweetnedCondensedMilk.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEXfxN-x7sQV5gdiT7quMWhcSm7SJMhcKDyqgG9V7BNwFHoUkK8_4OrhnqMGVi5R1rIke3QaP67k9doMrDaDKnwGzRRh5a6YBtGcBwNVm6Ty1tcOYV09iY8fIIXN49Ubg5IkdY4jWuAr4g/s400/Ingridient2-SweetnedCondensedMilk.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725778058732028114" /></a><br />Condensed Milk - 14oz<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC-t_FzapGsMSIFYp_Mq5GjXZk_DoWQ8CwzrTiPzCcqqRlQStrHc_I3EuFZaXYGkt8xDlWjparX7_y1-KV_y23e8skAY-vC_T8df386ML-SYJNLvd0L5p4QUOAolcIosYF0bmMSVQ1R4oW/s1600/Ingridient1-MilkPowder.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC-t_FzapGsMSIFYp_Mq5GjXZk_DoWQ8CwzrTiPzCcqqRlQStrHc_I3EuFZaXYGkt8xDlWjparX7_y1-KV_y23e8skAY-vC_T8df386ML-SYJNLvd0L5p4QUOAolcIosYF0bmMSVQ1R4oW/s400/Ingridient1-MilkPowder.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725778263655478066" /></a><br />MilkPowder - 1/2 cup<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPB-Lp9ghGi9MqPryabfr__sLObtg1E8F9ChqKlpaYWCdYlNrDPpU0bU03X-bjbkPMw2WPU0eAFv_yfcE6mwO5ssTldLw6w0buPJ-xenPNuj0F6y46o0BT3Gw0o6DofwvdWZMHKlateQ-g/s1600/Ingridient4-Almonds.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPB-Lp9ghGi9MqPryabfr__sLObtg1E8F9ChqKlpaYWCdYlNrDPpU0bU03X-bjbkPMw2WPU0eAFv_yfcE6mwO5ssTldLw6w0buPJ-xenPNuj0F6y46o0BT3Gw0o6DofwvdWZMHKlateQ-g/s400/Ingridient4-Almonds.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725778473138114226" /></a><br />Almonds for garnishing<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp2WJaqlqkdlPIsUaZvsL6s5JvscgLBegKFAcvPRezqoDFvun7J6k8B4ddXyZ23ZPjBMQhkJ2snFykL8eqvEYswyz6bXZz405wkWQb8SiBGT4j5CWyYFAgeCMCAzeuKHZ2R4WQjMJtsDaQ/s1600/Ingridient5-Butter+%25281%2529.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 304px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp2WJaqlqkdlPIsUaZvsL6s5JvscgLBegKFAcvPRezqoDFvun7J6k8B4ddXyZ23ZPjBMQhkJ2snFykL8eqvEYswyz6bXZz405wkWQb8SiBGT4j5CWyYFAgeCMCAzeuKHZ2R4WQjMJtsDaQ/s400/Ingridient5-Butter+%25281%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725778794294636066" /></a><br />Unsalted Butter 4tb spoons.<br />Sugar - 1/4 cup (Add only if the milk powder is unsweetened)<br />Cardomons - 5<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">PROCEDURE</span><br /><br />1. I couldnt find one which i am looking for. And i thought why not i make one with some card board and fabric. My husband got a white XXL T-shirt from his office with his office logo in the front. I used it in the process. Here is how to make it.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLDgeG7dEO8FhjjQ3s7wT9p8JWCDdMeaELkPeRp2qrBA-rreUbqfJxQlwA3ZxxS33tHVdXNN2DdPgajznfx3gU-eIYeM6vR4fIXkyrQxzUDPP_x_n-eRbh2yQvXjNeGgM9Sker56gnNlWQ/s1600/Karthika+118.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLDgeG7dEO8FhjjQ3s7wT9p8JWCDdMeaELkPeRp2qrBA-rreUbqfJxQlwA3ZxxS33tHVdXNN2DdPgajznfx3gU-eIYeM6vR4fIXkyrQxzUDPP_x_n-eRbh2yQvXjNeGgM9Sker56gnNlWQ/s400/Karthika+118.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724582561091049746" /></a><br /><br />Take a card board cut it in a rectangle shape. Cut it in a way that one small side of the rectangle is pointed in shape. See the picture above. Cut the fabric and sew it to the entire card board by pulling it tight. Then to make 3 folders, take 3 fabric pieces of same length. Here i used the fabric from the lower part of the T-shirt. So that we can already have some finished look. First sew the top folder on the 3 sides, leaving open on the top. Sew the second folder from 1 inch on the bottom of the first folder. Sew the third folder from 1 inch on the bottom of the second folder. Take 4 inches of fabrric with 1 inch width to make a hanging loop. Sew it to the pointed edge of the finished organizer. I painted some nail polish here and there to add a bit of color to it. Hang it on a wall to a push pin. I hanged a <a href="http://sirishaskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/07/step-by-step-tutorial-to-make-pista.html">pista shell flower</a> on it. It gave a more attractive look to the mail organizer.Sirihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01344345014481490078noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148079707900212199.post-86304080521214804092012-03-23T18:07:00.008-07:002012-03-24T21:32:09.012-07:00Mirchi Bajji<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYFfyvMk_Rja5Fkmi_R-8bDrP8yPAlC4mLJxmszQtB58lNTKjOZIovhtOxZGt5v0VrCGoOwY4uyeKlJyNvSLvUtYYmhygj626bk3fqlfwJ5mSnsTbbhc4VFX6oG4_FnWfGf1wgiYvu7Qx/s1600/IMG_1904.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYFfyvMk_Rja5Fkmi_R-8bDrP8yPAlC4mLJxmszQtB58lNTKjOZIovhtOxZGt5v0VrCGoOwY4uyeKlJyNvSLvUtYYmhygj626bk3fqlfwJ5mSnsTbbhc4VFX6oG4_FnWfGf1wgiYvu7Qx/s400/IMG_1904.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723274240485580562" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">INGREDIENTS</span><br /><br />2 cups Gram flour <br />1/2 tbsp Red chilli powder<br />1/4 tsp Baking soda<br />1/2 tbsp Cumin Seeds<br />Long Green Chillies<br />salt<br />Oil for deep fry<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">FILLING INGREDIENTS</span><br /><br />2 Tbsp Sesame seeds<br />2 tbsp Corriander Seeds<br />2 tbsp Cumin seeds<br />1/2 Lime<br />Salt<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">PROCEDURE</span><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0-67DfTNj7_gSdUECPh7ZpvSsN_BtD8bkeGOLi_tRhS13PBpMxObL2CBNvH7tTDcWkgrCUJkzV888RbUp9Z9ItfRQub5EPHpaBdnaeLgszqnSlj_gx2zopCv1HBLGPQrx8X2mAA97pJkd/s1600/IMG_1901.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0-67DfTNj7_gSdUECPh7ZpvSsN_BtD8bkeGOLi_tRhS13PBpMxObL2CBNvH7tTDcWkgrCUJkzV888RbUp9Z9ItfRQub5EPHpaBdnaeLgszqnSlj_gx2zopCv1HBLGPQrx8X2mAA97pJkd/s400/IMG_1901.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723274473572695746" /></a><br />1. But i could'nt stop myself from posting one of my craft projects...:) Recently i made some flowers with pista shells. Since 2 months i started collecting these pista shells without throwing them away. My husband asked me 'what are you going to do with those shells...r u gonna make a curry'. Very funny. After collecting enough shells i started making these flowers. Check them out.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhST7XekF0v96CfL9sLHkgM4PRtewtR-kGAV0VwQvJga6aNU4ymrzF5sP-8fgbeWNoNXpOVgO3NwKANJhmvYC-UN5yPxsPFP1zznYNDgiAhDbgpF99uhSBnBTUxWYBeol2yGIIFd0lLckCh/s1600/IMG_4103.jpg"><img style="display:block; Here is the recipe for poori and <a href="http://sirishaskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/01/mutton-curry.html">mutton curry</a>.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">INGREDIENTS</span><br /><br />Wheat flour 2 cups<br />Salt 1/4 tbsp<br />Warm water as needed<br />Oil for frying<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFL5XMQI2_kCWnCxdad9JBV8OStJBR6-v93_AUrELUSHODLANKRU6NGTPyjyWGDPt5y7scnEpheGeFx-4-WDETbCcXRsWS1We5FrhGRsNS47ebNAzc3p0YR9mMHzbE0NWMCF5VnwFW3gwz/s1600/IMG_4076.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFL5XMQI2_kCWnCxdad9JBV8OStJBR6-v93_AUrELUSHODLANKRU6NGTPyjyWGDPt5y7scnEpheGeFx-4-WDETbCcXRsWS1We5FrhGRsNS47ebNAzc3p0YR9mMHzbE0NWMCF5VnwFW3gwz/s400/IMG_4076.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5605152477124082850" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">PROCEDURE</span><br /><br />1. Mix wheat flour and salt by using warm water to make a firm dough. Keep it covered for 30 mins.<br /><br />2. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Roll each ball into a round by using a rolling pin. Make sure the rounds are not too thin.<br /><br />3. Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, drop the poori into the oil. Gently press with a spoon which would help poori to puff up. Turn the poori onto the other side and fry for 30 sec. Take it out of the oil onto a tissue paper. Serve hot with a curry.Sirihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01344345014481490078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148079707900212199.post-4435472817899853492011-05-10T09:25:00.000-07:002011-05-10T10:47:36.893-07:00Uggani / Puffed Rice(Borugulu) upma<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryDFQUYZtPZevgNTxbCBj6dEKKl_jsK_1cQ1voNN_lEOQ8kSxpW8o5YqLF8gLht8OoUMcnZAbXZriwN9CV_ny9IbLyIuzJ5Vik4lsxmxGGxA-1gdnh1t1zeRgUvmLKUZe21PwXuhWwNNQ/s1600/IMG_4070.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryDFQUYZtPZevgNTxbCBj6dEKKl_jsK_1cQ1voNN_lEOQ8kSxpW8o5YqLF8gLht8OoUMcnZAbXZriwN9CV_ny9IbLyIuzJ5Vik4lsxmxGGxA-1gdnh1t1zeRgUvmLKUZe21PwXuhWwNNQ/s400/IMG_4070.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5605134112745734002" /></a><br /><br />Uggani is a famous dish in my native Anantapur.
